What is 3-axis milling?

3-axis milling is a CNC machining process in which the cutting tool moves along three linear axes, X, Y, and Z, to remove material and shape a workpiece. It is the most widely used milling method, suited for a broad range of parts with flat surfaces, pockets, holes, and contours.
