3-axis machining centers

MIKRON MILL offers a comprehensive range of 3-axis machining centers, fully customizable with automation systems and optional features to fit any production environment.

What is 3-axis milling?

3-axis milling is a CNC machining process in which the cutting tool moves along three linear axes, X, Y, and Z, to remove material and shape a workpiece. It is the most widely used milling method, suited for a broad range of parts with flat surfaces, pockets, holes, and contours.

Main competitive advantages

Active cooling

The intelligent active cooling system circulates temperature-controlled fluid across all key machine components, eliminating thermal drift and ensuring consistent accuracy throughout even the longest production runs.

Polymer concrete

With up to six times better vibration damping than cast iron, our polymer concrete machine base provides exceptional rigidity and thermal stability, delivering lasting accuracy even under the highest cutting forces and most demanding milling conditions.

Smart machine

A modular suite of intelligent modules, including OSS, ITC, ISM, and PFP, optimizes dynamic behavior, compensates for thermal displacement, monitors spindle health, and protects the machine during unmanned operation.

Automation ready

Fully compatible with SYSTEM 3R and third-party automation systems, our MIKRON MILL 3-axis machining center is designed to scale from a simple tool magazine to a fully automated production cell.
