Two-in-one solution
The MILL S/X U series uniquely combines milling and jig grinding on the same machining center. The grinding setup is designed to maintain standard workpiece dimensions and clamping surfaces, even in automated configurations, while a dressing spindle with acoustic emission sensor ensures process reliability and grinding tool efficiency. The result is a significantly reduced manufacturing process, faster ROI, and consistently high-end part quality.
Boosted numerical control
The MIKRON MILL S and X series can be equipped with either the Heidenhain TNC 7 or the Siemens Sinumerik ONE control system. Both HMIs are enhanced by an internally developed and patented Smart Machine modules, designed to boost productivity and elevate machining performance to the next level.
High-quality Spindle
The MILL S/X series is equipped with high-speed STEP TEC spindles available in a range from 24,000 to 50,000 min⁻¹, covering the full spectrum of milling requirements from high-torque roughing to fine finishing.
Advanced thermal management ensures stable, vibration-free operation at high speeds, delivering exceptional surface quality and repeatable accuracy across every cycle and every material.

Automation Solutions
Designed for automation from the ground up, the MILL S/X series integrates seamlessly with a wide range of pallet systems, including SYSTEM 3R Dynafix, Erowa UPC, and System 3R MacroMagnum, in disc-type magazine configurations. The JobToolManager (JTM) software allows operators to assign NC programs by drag and drop, manage job priorities in real time, and monitor estimated machining times, keeping production running with minimal intervention. Tool magazines are available from 48 up to 220 positions depending on spindle configuration.
