5-axis machining centers

MIKRON MILL's 5-axis machining centers add two rotational axes for optimized tool paths and greater workpiece access, delivering industry-leading accuracy for complex parts and molds in fewer setups.

What is 5-axis milling?

5-axis milling extends conventional machining by adding two rotational axes to the standard X, Y, and Z movement. This allows the cutting tool to approach the workpiece from virtually any angle, enabling the production of complex geometries and tight tolerances in fewer setups.

Main competitive advantages

Torque motors

Frictionless and wear-free torque motors enable ultra-smooth simultaneous 5-axis movement, delivering outstanding surface finishes, precise positioning, and reduced cycle times across even the most complex geometries.

AMC

Automated Machine Calibration (AMC) automatically adjusts key machine components to restore precision and accuracy at all times, eliminating manual calibration and reducing the risk of human error.

MSP

By instantly stopping the machine upon detecting a crash, Machine and Spindle Protection (MSP) prevents severe damage and costly downtime, protecting equipment and keeping production on track.

Automation ready

Compatible with different pallet systems, our machines scale from a simple integrated pallet magazine to a full robot cell, adapting seamlessly to any workshop layout and production volume.
